A Statement Wedding Cake for Raffles London
There are some London wedding venues that call for a truly spectacular cake, and Raffles London at The OWO is certainly one of them.
For Georgia & Taylor’s wedding, Hall of Cakes created an impressive seven-tier bespoke wedding cake, designed to have the scale and presence required for such a magnificent setting.
The finished design combined a soft blush pink couture iced finish with intricate white royal icing piping, creating a cake that felt romantic and delicate while still making a dramatic statement.
Seven Tiers of Intricate Royal Icing Detail
The beauty of this cake was in the detail.
Each of the seven tiers featured its own arrangement of hand-piped white royal icing, with delicate swags, scallops, pearls and ornate detailing creating interest from top to bottom.
Against the blush pink icing, the white piping became particularly striking. The contrast allowed every tiny detail to be seen while keeping the overall palette soft, romantic and refined.
At the centre of the design, Georgia & Taylor’s bespoke G & T monogram personalised the cake and provided a beautiful focal point.
Despite its scale, the finished cake retained the precision and delicacy that are so characteristic of this style of wedding cake.
