Designing a Wedding Cake for Claridges

Every Hall of Cakes bespoke wedding cake begins with the couple, their celebration and the setting in which the cake will be displayed.

Having created a number of wedding cakes for Claridge’s, we understand how differently a cake can work within the hotel’s individual spaces. For grand celebrations in the main Ballroom, we have created larger, multi-tier statement cakes designed to have the height and presence needed to hold their own within such an impressive room.

For more intimate celebrations in The French Salon, we have created smaller commissions where refinement, proportion and intricate detail take precedence over scale.

This is an important part of our design process. A luxury wedding cake doesn’t necessarily need to be enormous — it needs to feel perfectly considered for the room, the styling and the celebration around it.

Our Experience at Claridges

Having worked at Claridges for many years, we know both the venue and its team well. That familiarity is invaluable when creating and installing a wedding cake, particularly for larger and more complex commissions.

We understand the different spaces within the hotel, the practicalities of delivery and installation, and the level of service expected for a Claridges celebration. Over the years, we have worked alongside the hotel’s experienced events team on everything from intimate commissions to grand statement wedding cakes.

For our couples, that established relationship brings reassurance too. From the initial design through to the final installation, we know the venue, understand how it operates and can work seamlessly with the Claridges team to ensure the cake is presented exactly as intended.
