Vintage Wedding Cakes

Hall of Cakes are renowned for their Vintage Wedding Cakes.  Between the team we have a combined experience in designing and creating wedding cakes of over 50 years.  That is a lot of piping!

We have created some incredible wedding cakes over the years.  Some are what we would describe as very grand and ornate, often including many intricate sugar flowers and others are purely piped.  The very grand and ornate cakes are probably what we are best know for.  Our cakes over the years have graced the ballrooms of Londons finest hotels - The Savoy, Claridges, The Ritz.    These cakes are very traditional and also often referred to as 'Victorian wedding cakes'.  The Victorians being the first to really go special in the cake department!

Another Vintage wedding cake style would be those that are purely piped.  Royal icing is used to create the most beautifully detailed patterns.  The same patterns may be used throughout all tiers, or various patterns used throughout the tiers.  Often, for these cakes the base is a pale cream or ivory.  This makes the piping really pop out against the backdrop and elevates the whole look
