Charlotte & Charles - The Savoy.
Charlotte and Charles (well, let’s be honest Charles had very little to do with it!), wanted BIG. Centre stage in the ballroom at The Savoy.
The wedding planner was Snob Events. We have worked with Parvy from Snob before so we knew that this wedding was going be an absolute extravaganza.
As with all of our grand bespoke wedding cakes, it’s not just about making the cake. In the months leading up the the wedding we are working with the planner, the florist, the venue and literally anyone else who we need to co-ordinate with to ensure not only the cake is perfect but the delivery is as stress free as possible.
We have worked at The Savoy many times so we knew the delivery was going to be a dream. Its all about whether you can park in central London! The Savoy has private parking on Savoy Place where you can unload and deliver straight into The Ballroom. Perfect.
As regards the design, Charlotte wanted the cake to have impact. She wanted the overall presentation and aesthetic to align with the fresh flowers. So, we discussed with the florist how best to do this.
We have a variety of heavy duty clear acrylic cake stands which clients are able to hire from us. The cake stand that we used for this wedding was the largest size that we have. In using a clear acrylic stand it means that the cake is the main character. No table or table cloth in the visual. Just the cake. In this case, the cake and the flowers.
As you can see, the flowers for this wedding were incredible. So much colour. An all white cake contrasting with a mass of colour is a dream visual in our opinion. so this was en pointe.
The cake featured the couples C & C monogram initials - utilised throughout the whole wedding theme (you can’t actually see that clearly from the photos but they were very detailed!).
All in all a great success. Charlotte & Charles were delighted with their wedding cake.
What can I say.. Nicola from our first phone call I new instantly you was the perfect person to make our cake.. you were honest and truthful and most of all I new i could put my trust in you!
