One shade of grey at Botleys Mansion

This is the wedding cake we delivered to Botleys Mansion on 13th September for the wedding of Kayleigh & Matt.

When Kayleigh came to see us a year ago with her mum and sister she was quite undecided as to the colour she wanted (as the base colour for her cake) but she was certain about one thing – that her wedding cake had to big!

Kayleigh loved our Latte Frills design we did at Leeds Castle last year and whilst she wanted something different, she did want to include the beautiful ruffle detail.

Kayleigh ummed and arrrred for a while over whether to have the latte/champagne colour as the base and then finally a month before the wedding it fell into place – Grey!

You can’t actually see too well from the image here, but we also added a sheen spray to give the slight appearance of silver. But, grey or silver, we were so pleased with the finished result.

As you can see, we also added a ball of ruffles to the top tier to give the cake even more height. We are pleased to say that Kayleigh and Matt were as delighted with the their cake as we were….
