So pleased with this lovely 18th birthday cake we have made this week for Beth. The remit was ‘funky, not too girlie and beautiful’. She absolutely loves it so I think we got it right!
Whilst its so easy to theme cakes for the girlies (lots of pink, bows, hearts etc etc.) It does get more tricky as they get a bit older as perhaps a cake isn’t such a ‘cool’ idea. So, I think the only way to get it right is to make the design a bit more contemporary – whilst still adding a few girlie touches.
