For us, the talk of the day was definitely our Sugar Rose Antoinette design (which recently featured in OK! Magazine) This is one of our grandest wedding cakes to date.
Many brides enquired as to the price of this cake and whether it all had to be cake or, if some tiers could be dummy cakes. Yes, of course some tiers can be dummy but do remember that you can always have one or two extra fruit tiers to save for later on… The choice is yours, but if you really want the ‘showstopper’ of a wedding cake we couldn’t possibly allow you to reduce the number of tiers!
The second most popular design was our Autumnal Sugar Blossom wedding cake. This cake is one of our true classics.
It features two sprays of the most beautiful sugar flowers and berries. Each petal of every flower is coloured and dusted to perfection and many brides (and mums) asked if the flowers were real flowers (fresh) or sugar. It’s always a real compliment when people genuinely cannot tell the difference!
Our stand on Sunday was in the beautiful new marquee. Although, it’s not really a marquee at all to be honest! Its a semi permanent structure with everything from the strip wood floor and the glazed bi-folding doors being to the highest specification. Absolutely beautiful. I can already picture one of our wedding cakes centre stage in this lovely event space.
We very much look forward to working with the team at Fulham Palace. It really is a lovely London venue and we hope to deliver one of our babies to you soon!
