These are the images of the gorgeous wedding cake we designed and created for Amy and Craig at the London Golf Club on 12th September.
It was lovely to go back to The London as a very close friend got married there a few years back and we hadn’t actually been back there since (and If I am honest, I don’t remember too much from that wedding – apart from a really bad headache the following day :)
Amy wanted grand. Full stop. Nothing less than 8 tiers was going to please this lady. Craig didn’t play a huge part in the design of the cake :) as Amy knew exactly what she wanted. Although Amy wanted her cake to be predominantly white, she wanted to include some gold detail within the design and we incorporated this by hand painting the hundreds of leaves and petals at the base of the cake. With the chosen colour of ‘peach’ for fresh flower base, the gold worked beautifully.
Amy and Craig didn’t need 8 tiers of cake for their numbers so there was a couple dummy tiers in this cake. However, they still had lots of lots of of cake and I am told by Amy it was al devoured by their guests!
We hope to blog more images of this cake when the official images are released… (and I have pestered the photographer for some!)
We received the following email from Amy:-
