This year we have worked with some lovely couples and families.
Alex and Dean were just scrummy to work for and it was an absolute honour to design and create their wedding cake for them, for their celebrations at Orsett Hall at the end of August.
From the minute this family arrived to see us at the studio, I was just busting to work for them! So gracious and warm and possibly the best behaved children we have ever had in the studio (we have had a few little pickles over the years!)
Alex and Dean wanted a very grand cake. I say grand, but not in an ostentatious way, but in height and beautiful detail. Their cake was adorned with over 240 sugar roses all in soft pinks and creams. Alex and Dean, did not need their cake to feed hundreds, so they did have a couple of dummy tiers included – as you can see, nobody can tell which tiers they are..
I am told their cake was thoroughly enjoyed and we received a beautiful thank you from Alex…Thank you so much . We had the best day honestly , and that CAKE was amazing .!! Everyone didn’t stop talking about it . And was lovely that everyone got to have a slice , just gutted we didn’t get more as it’s all gone now…
These images are courtesy of Chris Woodman of Chris Woodman Photography – based in Basildon. Having got to know the family a little over the last year, I can see Chris has captured this wedding perfectly.
I sincerely hope to work on another wedding with Chris in the future. Not only for his beautiful imagery, but, what a nice bloke! I have never met Chris before and constantly being on the scrounge for photos can (understandably) get on photographers nerves. Not Chris! Friendly, accommodating and just proper down to earth! Thanks Chris!
