These are the images of the wedding cake we designed and created for Arundell and Ludger on 20th April at Hever Castle in Kent.
When Arundell came to us she had fallen in love with our Vintage Mayfair design but, her chosen colours where softer and she was a little concerned that by changing the colour palette of our original design this would compromise the beauty of the final creation.
For some brides it is very easy to visualise various elements of their day, even if the final decisions on exact detail and colour shades are left with their chosen supplier. Other brides find this quite difficult and also find it difficult to place their trust in their supplier, whether it be their cake designer, florist, stationer… etc. etc.
Arundell had complete trust in our judgement but I am sure she will agree with me in saying that not having ‘shelf picked’ her exact cake was a little difficult for her . In fact I think I remember an email 4 days before the wedding asking for my assurance that ‘Barbie pink’ would definitely not be featured as the prime colour!
Arundell and Ludger managed to book a date for their wedding in April, that was not completely rained off. It was an absolutely glorious afternoon and the Italian Gardens and Pavilion at Hever Castle provided a stunning backdrop for champagne and canapes.
We received a lovely thank you from Arundell, which will be posted shortly.
