Some lovely weddings are coming up for us and one that we are really excited about is without question the biggest commission we have done to date. I won’t let on too much now as the wedding is in just over two weeks time and I will blog the item fully after the event. But I can tell you that the location is the Park Lane Hilton in London and the cake will take centre stage in the Grand Ballroom.
We are currently making (literally) hundreds and hundreds of tiny sugar roses, blossoms and leaves to decorate the cake and the theme is ‘Enchanted Garden’ in shades of ivory and gold.
We are also taking some lovely booking for next year. Lots of London venues will be visited next year as well taking bookings for some gorgeous weddings in Surrey.
Over the next two weeks we will be delivering to Leeds Castle, Hever Castle and also Gaynes Park House in Epping Essex.
Oh and it seems the most favourite designs are our vintage and Victorian creations. Some more ivory tones creeping in to give that real ‘vintage’ look, but in the main it is still the purely white cake that is favoured by most brides. Our Rose Cascade designs are still extremely popular so not a week goes by when we are not busy making rose petals to keep the sugar shelves stacked with roses….
Right, back to work…
Will blog again soon with further updates.
