Well, Its certainly been a crazy few months for us at Hall of Cakes. Our cakes are getting bigger and bigger and every day we are being commissioned for grander, more elaborate, amazing wedding cakes.
Here are some images of a wedding cakes that we designed and created recently for Delia and Paul, who married at Leeds Castle Castle in Kent on 30th June. This is probably one of our grandest cakes to date. As you can see, so many flowers, petals and intricate detail – all created from sugar and made by hand. This cake was weeks and weeks of work. It was so wonderful to see it all come together on the day (if not a little stressful).
We have worked for Leeds Castle for many years now and whilst we have set up countless wedding cakes in the grandest window of the King Henry VIII Banqueting Hall, it never fails to take my breath away.
Although, on delivery, as we drive over the narrow draw bridge (breath held, wing mirrors pulled in, trying not to mow down any tourists) I always wonder if King Henry VIII himself suffered near panic attacks on the same route all those years ago….

PS. I have included some set up images for this one. It think its interesting to see how it takes shape from the arrival at the venue…
