Hever Castle, Cooling Castle Barn, Leeds Castle.. I am not sure there is a wedding venue in Kent that we haven’t delivered a cake to!
We are often asked ‘what is your favourite Kent wedding venue?’. Always a tricky one to answer as we love them all. But, selfishly, for us, it’s about the cake setting. The grand window in the Kind Henry VIII Banqueting Hall is unrivalled. We have included here some images of cakes that we placed in that window over the years. I am sure you will agree, an incredible setting for your wedding cake. Also providing an amazing back drop for your cake cutting photos!
As the Garden of England it is no surprise that Kent has the most incredible scenery. Stunning rolling green hills for miles and miles with the odd castle, an oast house or village dotted in between. On a clear sunny day, delivering Hever Castle is a real treat. Well, as long as we don’t get stuck behind a tractor or similar!
I have to be honest in saying that a marquee wedding is not our favourite. Always a venue for us. Marquees are not temperature controlled and over the last few years we have some very hot summers. Whilst we will deliver your cake as late in the day as is possible, we cannot babysit it! If it is 25 degrees outside then it is likely to be over 30 degrees in a marquee and your cake will not aesthetically survive this temperature. So, a lovely venue with indoor space which either stays naturally cool or, that has air conditioning.
Of course, over the years we have delivered some incredible cakes to Kent venues. But, please don’t be put off by the big grand cakes you see featured on our website and socials. We do smaller cakes too! If you are only looking for a one or two tier design, not a problem at all.
Lastly, we do all other cakes apart from weddings. Party and event cakes for all occasions.
