As we got nearer to the wedding, we realised the original cake from another provider that we thought we would want for the wedding was not “on theme.”  We approached Nicola at Hall of Cakes, and discussed something that would be better for us. The cake turned out perfectly for our day, completely aligned to the theme that we had and looking very elegant to boot. We had received some samples from Nicola at the start of the process upon which to base out flavour choices. These were lovely, but the final cake was fantastic (especially the chocolate buttercream filling!) – Thank you Nicola for providing a fitting cake for our special day.

Thank you so much for creating such a stunning cake for our wedding on August 29th 2021 – Nicola and her team are exceptional – They displayed the greatest attention to detail and huge flexibility (considering the COVID dates changes, colour scheme change etc….) and crafted a magnificent cake of our long awaited perfect Wedding Day ! It truly was the most wonderful experience working with you – totally professional, and so incredibly talented – masters of their craft!  We cannot sing your praises highly enough.

Nicola, Wendy and the team made my bridal shower cake and wedding cake in December 2019 and I cannot thank them enough. Nicola is so clever and talented and goes above and beyond. Nicola is so friendly, down to earth, warm, professional and helpful. Not only did the cakes both looks amazing and out of this world but tasted delicious. These are not just cakes but works of art and all my wedding guests said wow and couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was. There are literally no words to describe how amazing Nicola and her team are! When planning a wedding, there are a lot of stresses, however, Nicola and Hall of Cakes were the most enjoyable people to work with. From the initial consultation in her beautiful show room, to regular communication throughout, to THE MOST BEAUTIFUL wedding cake on the day, it was amazing form start to finish and we are so grateful and lucky to have worked with them.

I can categorically say that if you want perfection, then ‘Hall of Cakes’ is the only place you’ll need for all your celebration cakes. After Nicola and her team made my brother and sister-in-law their breathtaking wedding cake, I knew not to look any further when I wanted a Peter Rabbit themed cake for my sister-in-law’s baby shower. Again, the cake was pure perfection in every sense – my eyes filled with tears of joy of how beautiful it looked. After we (reluctantly) cut the cake, again, mouthwatering sponge cake perfection. The cake was the ‘star’ of the baby shower – even staff at the venue took photos as they were in awe of how beautiful the Peter Rabbit cake was. I’m so glad that Nicola was able to make my wedding cake for me, it was stunning to look at and it tasted even better! I made a special request for a pink champagne tier, and I had so many compliments on the beautiful flavour (as well as the gorgeous rich chocolate tier!). Thank you Nicola, and your team at Hall of Cakes for creating our beautiful wedding cake! The cake was absolutely stunning, and we received so many wonderful comments from our guests; from how beautiful it looked on display in the Astor Wing at Hever Castle, to how delicious the cake tasted.

The service provided by Nicola was seamless. From the moment my mum and I met Nicola at her Studio in Bexley I knew that we were in safe, and very creative, hands. We had plenty of time to look through Nicola’s extensive portfolio of wedding cakes, as well as see a wide variety of cake designs on display in the studio. We discussed preferences over a cup of tea and tried some samples of the different flavour sponge cakes. We reached a decision by the end of the appointment that an adaptation of the ‘latte frills’ design was ‘the one’, with the latte colour being replaced with a pale pink to match my bouquet. We left the appointment feeling confident that Nicola would produce a wonderful cake, and that turned out to be so very true!

In the run up to the wedding, Nicola and I spoke a couple of times on the phone to confirm flavours for the sponge tiers and spent quite a long time discussing the exact shade of pink!! A couple of days before the wedding, Nicola phoned to let me know all was going well with producing the cake and how pretty it was.

When Tom and I arrived at Hever Castle on our wedding day, the cake was on display in the Astor Wing. Words really can’t describe how absolutely beautiful the cake was. It really did look wonderful, and tasted delicious too. We had 3 different flavours; vanilla and raspberry buttercream, espresso and rum, and chocolate.

We would recommend Hall of Cakes to anyone looking for a stunning cake at their wedding, or any other event. The cakes are spectacular and the service is exceedingly friendly and professional.

Firstly I wanted to say thank you for making our spectacular wedding cake, it looked and tasted amazing.

From the first meeting I had with Nicola, I knew she was the only person I wanted to make our
cake. Nicola’s passion and skill completely changed my view of what a wedding cake should be and the whole experience from start to finish was really enjoyable (especially the sample tasting).

Nicola suggested we place the cake in the centre of the room, and on seeing the cake on the day, I was so glad we listened to her advice, it took my breath away…..and I think the cake was the most photographed part of the wedding! From the moment I spoke with Nicola on the phone she was extremely helpful. She was very welcoming and I could tell she was an expert in her field …cakes!

I booked an appointment and it was a very professional but also very welcoming meeting. She offered amazing tasters whilst we spoke over cake shapes / sizes / ideas etc….all very well presented. She had the exact idea as to what I would want after our meet and I felt comfortable to leave the final details / design down to her.

On my wedding day my cake was one thing I was really looking forward to seeing and I was not disappointed at all. The design was impeccable and it looked gorgeous with everything else, it was perfect! It created the impact that I was hoping for my big day!

Thank you for the photos.  The cake was truly gorgeous and I have never seen so many people take photos of a cake! Especially as they had never seen a cake adorned with jewellery which did surprise our guests. It was stunning, just amazing as it definitely sparkled and of course tasted wonderful too.

Brian and I would like to thank you for the marvellous cake that you made for our wedding, it was wonderful.

Dear Nicola,

A massive thank you to you and your team who have clearly worked tirelessly to create the most curiously beautiful wedding cake that we have ever seen.

Our guests looked on in wonder as they marvelled at whether the flowers and teacups were real or not! The colour palette and mismatch design harmonised perfectly with our flowers and really added a sense of wonderment to accompany our Alice in Wonderland tea part theme.

A Vintage Sugar Garden that one would gladly get lost in!

Having sampled each of the flavours we can honestly say that they are all our favourites – absolutely delicious, especially with a cup of English tea!

Wow, what can I say? I was speechless! It was absolutely amazing, even better than I could ever have imagined! All of our guests commented on the cake, most of them initially doubted that it was even a cake as the detail was unbelieveable. You captured the parts of my dress to incorporate within the cake, perfectly.

Thank you so much for your continued communication throughout, it was great to not have to worry or chase you up at any point, to be able to leave the design and delivery with you when planning the rest of the wedding was a huge plus for me. Finally, the taste was also divine!! My nan said, ‘the best cake I’ve ever eaten’, and she’s eaten alot of cake!!!

Julian and I would like to say a huge thank you for the beautiful wedding cake you made for us on 18th December. It was everything we imagined and more. The contrast of the red roses with the white icing was very dramatic and was made even more attractive by the intricate beading piped onto the cake. The detail matched the delicate pattern on my wedding dress and emphasised the Victorian theme of our day.

You kept us informed of how our cake was progressing from the time we placed our order and it was truly refreshing not to have to chase a supplier to find out what was going on. Marvellous! You ensured we kept calm leading up to the wedding which was nothing less than a miracle!

Thank you so much for everything.  I was so overwhelmed when I saw the room before all the guests entered and the cake (it doesn’t do it justice just calling it a cake, it’s a masterpiece) was completely stunning!

It looked fabulous in the surroundings of the Painted Hall and worked so well with all the white roses in the bouquets and the centerpieces. The Tiffany colour was perfect!
