About Hall of Cakes
Established in 2007 by Nicola Hall, to create ‘Luxury Wedding Cakes’
Nicola’s original background was in art and design. However, she actually enjoyed a career as a Lloyds Insurance Broker for 12 years before leaving the city to follow a more creative path. Whilst still working as a Broker, Nicola researched a keen interest – cake decorating and felt there was a gap in the market for very traditional wedding cakes and luxury wedding cakes.
Hall of Cakes was born by making a christening cake for a friend’s little boy (at the last birthday he was 17!). This lead to other cake orders from friends and family and 18 months later Nicola took the decision to leave the City and set up Hall of Cakes. Although, telling your new husband on your honeymoon ‘i am going be become a wedding cake maker’ didn’t go down that well!
Luxury Cake Makers
Hall of Cakes are now one of the most recognised luxury cake makers in the UK, delivering to the most iconic wedding and events venues such as Claridges, The Savoy, The Ritz and many many more
With a passion for history and a love of architecture Nicola felt there was a gap in the market for what she considered really ‘traditional wedding cakes’. Cakes with the most intricate piping detail and the most exquisite sugar flowers. Skills that seem to have been lost somewhat over the years.
It is also the design element that Nicola is really passionate about. To create wedding cakes that really are ‘bespoke’. Bespoke creations that require the most skilled hand in sugarcraft and the highest standard in design.
Fast forward to today and Hall of cakes are one of the most recognised luxury cake companies in the UK. Showstopping cakes that continue to grow in size and detail and continue to wow clients all over the country.
